Course Overview

Anyone who spends time in the outdoors, particularly in North America, are at risk for having a tick bite, which can result in the transmission of serious diseases, such as Lyme Disease. This course explores tick bites, different types of diseases they can spread, and how to effectively prevent and manage them. The course starts by explaining the lifecycle of ticks, types of ticks and where they are commonly found. The video details the different diseases transmitted by ticks, how to prevent them, and how to treat a tick if one is attached to you. If you spend any length of time outside, this course will be incredibly beneficial to understand ticks and, if untreated, the seriousness of tick bites. Learn how to safely remove a tick and prevent them from biting you in the first place.
