According to Industrial Safety & Hygiene News, 25% of all industrial accidents occur at the loading dock, and for each accident that occurs, there are about 600 near-misses. Loading docks are flooded with potential danger, and without the proper training, procedures, equipment and maintenance they are liable to deliver disaster at every turn. This course seeks to bridge the gap, so everyone is on the same page when it comes to exercising proper safety and situational awareness on and around loading docks. The course covers safe working procedures, preventing injuries, handling equipment, and docking transport vehicles.
