At some point everyone slips or trips on ice or even carpeting and doesn’t think much of it. However, slips, trips, and falls on the job account for 17% of all disabling occupational injuries, and 15% of job fatalities. The good news is, as this course shows, trips, slips, and falls in the food processing and handling work environment can be prevented. Beginning with an overview of the meaning and significance of the center of gravity, this course teaches employees how slips, trips, and falls happen and what they can do each day to protect themselves and their co-workers from their hazards, occurrences, and the potential resulting injuries.
