Course Overview

According to a report published by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, a total of 17,865 workers were victims of workplace homicides from 1992 to 2019. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) has clear guidance on ensuring a workplace free from death and serious injury, which employers must follow to promote safe conditions. This course seeks to provide instruction and explanation on the importance of preventing workplace violence by first defining violence. The course continues to demonstrate some of the warning signs, how to handle aggressive behavior and deal with violent behavior. The course concludes by exploring how to develop a workplace violence prevention program. Use this course, especially among your management, to foster a safe and violent-free workplace within all levels of your organization.
