Course Overview

After decades of study and research, professionals began to recognize an individual's IQ was not enough to determine their professional success. In 1990, psychologists John Mayer and Peter Salovey published an article called Emotional Intelligence, (EQ) which explained how people with a higher EQ were better able to recognize their emotions and regulate them as they worked towards their goals. This introductory online training course is the first in a series about EQ. This course explains how everyone can strengthen their emotional Intelligence, which is made up of four parts: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. This course also explains the benefits of cultivating EQ. Take this course to learn the importance of developing a strong emotional intelligence.
