Course Overview

According to OSHA, over two million workers throughout the U.S. are victims of workplace assault every year. However, as this course shows, effective HR policy and training can play a pivotal role in mitigating employee-related workplace violence. Stressing the types of workplace violence threats employees may be confronted with, this course spotlights HR policy and training as the pathway to lessening the occurrence and/or effect of a workplace violence incident. Opening by discussing the threat, with assault being the most common type, this course teaches employees the impact of workplace violence and why demonstrating a zero tolerance for it is critical to employee well-being and the long-term health of the organization. Present this course so team members fully understand the different types of workplace violence that occur in the workplace and the requirements and impact of creating an effective workplace violence prevention policy.
