Leading People: Facilitating Vs Directing People

Watch the video for a preview of the training.

Course Overview

It is common for leaders to tell their employees what to do instead of teaching them how to do things. When leaders misunderstand their positions of authority, they often believe their main responsibility is to tell employees what to do. This style of leadership is called "directing," and it is an ineffective, time-wasting, exhausting way to lead a team. This course teaches leaders how to transition from being a director to a leader. Upon learning the difference between a facilitator and an enabler, learners in this course are taught how the best leaders are masterful facilitators. This course demonstrates how to shift one's leadership style accordingly. Present this course so all leaders in the company develop more capable teams while increasing the time they have to pursue more important value-added projects and opportunities.
